Clear Waters JC: Clean and Learn Day – City of Water Day (July 12, 2025)

Join us for Clear Waters JC: Clean & Learn Day, a vibrant community event celebrating City of Water Day! Spend the day learning, taking action, and connecting with local organizations dedicated to protecting our urban waters.

The event will begin with an informational workshop hosted by New Jersey Future’s Sewage Free Streets and Rivers, in partnership with Hudson Montessori School Eco Club, Earth Economics, Greater Neighborhood Alliance Jersey City, and I Love Greenville Community Partnership. Participants will learn about the challenges of flooding in Jersey City’s overburdened neighborhoods and the impacts of combined sewer systems on the community.

Following the workshop, volunteers will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves for a beach cleanup, hosted by the Liberty State Park Nature Center Program, helping to restore and protect our precious shoreline for future generations.

Accessibility Information:
The Liberty State Park Nature Center is wheelchair accessible. However, due to uneven and natural terrain, access to the beach area for the cleanup may be limited for individuals using wheelchairs.

Additional Details:

• All ages are welcome! Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Cleanup supplies will be provided — just bring your enthusiasm!
